What type of doctor deals with brain trauma?

Is it a neurologist? Or is it some special type of doctor for trauma cuz i know neuros. do brain/nerves stuff.

  5. Well, a neurosurgeon is specialized in surgically treating the brain (excise cancer, repair burst aneurysms, and the like...)

    But sudden trauma is first evaluated by emergency personnel who know a bit of neurology. They need this info to assess things like reflexes- and how dangerous the patients' situation is... triage.

    Triage- processed by priority. For example: a heart attack victim needs immediate attention as opposed to a skin rash case.
