What type of engine should i put in my neon sxt

I have a 2002 dodge neon sxt i want to start building it up with a performance engine and trans but i don't know what to get. Any Help? Also give me some advice what to do.!>

Use the stock engine so you can limp it to the curb with a for sale sign on it

use the 2.4 turbo from  an srt model those things run really good, i found this out the hard way my nephew owns own and that thign will run off and leave most v-8s standing still,its a wicked little car,good luck.
