What type of eyeliner is better liquid or pencil?

It's personal preference, really :-) I find liquid eyeliner looks classier and neat, but is tricky to apply. If it's done right though, the line is really defined and just looks so dainty. Pencil eyeliner's less dramatic, but still defines the eye (it's definitely a no-no in humid temperatures though, unless it's set in with powder/foundation after.)

I personally like the pencil better for day, but I actually just a crayon like, like maybellines unstoppable in the blackest they have. Its great stuff! But for evening or special events liquid is pretty awesome. Its really dramatic and easy to do the "cat eye" look with.

i use them  both for different things , I use the pencil for my bottom  and then i use the liquid for the top there both great

I prefer liquid because it has a cleaner bolder line but it's harder to apply. I only use liquid that has a really skinny straight brush, the felt tip kind goes on too thick and uneven. I wear pencil once in a while but without a good base or primer it just ends up under my eye within a few hours. Sometimes I use a wet angle brush with black eyeshadow powder on it for eyeliner. That's good for a smokey eye or a thin line on the bottom.

liquid is more bold, pencil's more subtle.  Pencil's also a lot easier to put on, in my opinion... I always s***w liquid eyeliner up and wind up making a mess >___>

My favorites are the crayon and marker type, though, the crayon because it goes on nice and smooth and is fairly easy to apply, and the marker (l'oreal makes 'em) because you can get the bolder look of the liquid but it's a lot easier to put on...

Pencil eye liner is usually better. It is less likely to run. Liquid may be okay in the winter because it would dry quickly in the cold. So I'd stick to the pencil in spring and summer and liquid is okay in the fall and winter.

LIQUID hands down! it stays on longer, looks more neat, and it doesn't run. you should try the Maybelline New York Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. here's a website where u can check some things out, but u don't have to order it from there. u can get it at Walmart, Rite-Aid and I'm pretty sure CVS too.

i personaly like both but if i had to choose on id say pencil because i can put it on top and bottom. but i sometimes like to wear liquid if im wearing an edgy outfit.
