  1. It's hard to tell - I see the stripe so he could be Blaze or could be cinnamon or butterscotch. Take a look at the list below and see what you think.

    Types of ferrets include:

Sable The sable ferret has a mask like a racoon and can vary in shade. The under-fur can be anywhere from white to cream or beige. Guard hairs are black to brown.

Silver-mitt Silver-mitts have white or light cream under-fur with black and white guard hairs. All feet are white and they have a white bib.

Albino or red eyed whites This ferret is all white (sometimes with a golden or yellow tone) and has red or pink eyes.

Panda Panda's have dark legs, white feet, patches on the ears and circles around their eyes, with white or cream under-fur. They don't have a mask.

Cinnamon A rare ferret that has white or cream under-fur with reddish brown guard hair.

Black eyed white All white with black eyes.

Blaze Resembles silver-mitt but has a white stripe down it's head and neck.

Butterscotch White or cream under-fur, butterscotch legs, tail, mask and guard hairs.

Spotted and Striped Usually striped ferrets are black eyed whites with a stripe down the back and/or tail. Sometimes they may have rings around the tail like a racoon. Spotted ferrets are just that … Spotted!.

Siamese This ferret has very light shades of colour with dark fur on the legs and tail.

  2. girl dat ain't no ferrat dats uh rat!!!

  3. hes whats called a champagne. your ferrets are soooo cute!

  4. A cinnamon blaze! (What a cutie!)

Just so you know, ferrets with blazes can be prone torwards deafness. (check for this by clapping your hands near his face or shaking a can of pennies, and seeing his reaction.) Ferrets for Dummies has a great guide for dealing with deaf ferrets, but it won't be too much of a disability if he is.

  5. AWWw  So0o cutee, it don't matterr they are Gorgeous !!

    I Want one !=P

  6. He is  a Sandy ferret we had one until unforunately he developed heart disease

He is a cross polecat albino or so I was told from the rescue centre I got Zak from anyway

Hope this helps you and he is a sweetie give him a hug for me please x

  7. ok

  8. I would like to say it is champagne colored, but i am not sure what the pattern is. Maybe a blaze?

  9. this is a alaskin ferret

  10. If he has a redish tent to him and his eyes are red or a deep ruby he is a cinnamon blaze.

Other wise he is either chocolate or champange, depends on who you talk to, blaze.

Blazes are often times deaf. It dosen't seem to make a diffrence to them. I have two deaf ferrets. i see very little diffrence. It is a birth defect called waardensburg sysdrome. To test to see if he is deaf; Take him to a quite room he is familiar with and allow him some time to explore. Gather some things that make diffrent noises with diffrent tones, a bell, keys, beans in a can, a squeak toy (some say not to use squeak toys because it can hurt their ears but i say almost every ferret has some responce to a squeak toy so it is a good tool.). sit in the middle of the room so that you do not need to move as some ferrets can feel the floor and will respond to that. When his back is to you make a noise and see if he responds at all. Try each thing a couple times. Maybe even try the test on a couple diffrent days as ferrets can be moody. If he shows little or no reaction he may be deaf.

This is not a big deal and usualy dose not affect the ferrets much. Many people who have deaf ferrets train them to respond to vibration or a light or a combanation of both.

  11. that is one cute farret

  12. well ,maybe that a chocolate ( i know that they are rare) im not a ferret expert i wanted one for long time but thye are illegal here in NYC

  13. It's always hard to tell exact colour in pictures as it depends on lighting but I would say that based on those pics your ferret is a Champagne Blaze.

The colouring is a Champagne (Sandy in UK terms) and the pattern is a Blaze.

Here you can see the difference between a Chocolate/Champagne and a Champagne, from the pics above yours looks to not have the warm milky colour of a chocolate in his Points, but rather a slightly diluted version of it, almost all Champagnes have Points of some shade.
