Click on the type of fishing you want to do. This is the best site for current fishing reports. It is a blog site that people give independent reports on what to use, where to go etc...

I've been fishing the Great lakes, Lk. St Clair and Michigan rivers since 1974 and this is by far the best up to date info ever for Michigan fishing. Just watch out for trolls that can miss lead you, charter boats are very secret about what they are doing out there, it's a big business to them. Trust people who show pictures that are taken on boats that are definitely not charter (smaller or less expensive rigs).

  3. Better question might be what freshwater fish are NOT found in Michigan....

  4. Michigan has a tremendous among of different fish. Being the Great Lakes state we have taken great pride in our fisheries and offer all kind of species. From the typical pan fish....bluegill, perch, crappie, sunfish to the game fish like largemouth and smallmouth bass to trout to the big guys like pike, walleye, salmon (many different species), muskie to even the occasional monsterous sturgeon. I imagine if you looked up the Michigan DNR or fisheries dept in the government section you could find a complete list but I can assure you we have one of the most diverse fish populations in the U.S..
