    there,s not one single fish in the pet trade in the usa that someone has not dumped into a local lake , river or stream.

I'm not sure about being banned by the USR (not sure if you ment banned by the USA?) but as far as a fish that was accidentally introduced into the USA and can breathe air and walk on land, I would have to say walking catfish.  They are wild here in Florida and you can see them in the rainy season out in the streets moving from one pond to another.  They are not native to here but have taken over because they are able to move themselves to other bodies of water.

    Snakeheads are another fish that is not native to the USA but can be found in the warmer waters here.  They have been banned in the entire United States, but I am not sure about the USR.  They do not walk on land though, but do eat anything in sight.  If you catch them here in Florida, you are not supposed to release it back to the wild, you are supposed to kill them.
