if your wondering what you should do for your house...

I would recommend either tiles or carpets, it depends

if you have Young kids, kids or not.

Carpet is good for young kids, and over the years..

change it to tile. Tile looks really beautiful with your

In my family room I have laminate- kitchen tile, entry slate, living room and dining room new medium colored bamboo.   The laminate and bamboo were self installed.

  10. A) Carpet

It's way more comfy than tile! Unless you want the whole modern theme, carpet's best.

  16. D.  My house was built in 1930 and we have the original hardwood floors throughout the house.  They appear to be pine.  It's getting to be time to refinish them.

  28. I have carpet in my apartment.

Good for you for being willing to learn a new skill.  I've always thought that a woman with tools is a very s**y thing.  I remember in college, I was one of the people who worked on installing a tongue-in-groove wood floor in the black box theater.  It was a lot of work and took a long time (for us amateurs who'd never done it before), but in the end, it turned out beautiful!

  29. a & d

the sitting area of the living room is carpeted, and the dinning area has wood. they are both joined, one leading to the other!

different flooring gives a different feel and character to the different sections. It creates the image of distinct uses though one room, and avoids monotony, as the room is quite long.
