  1. It depends on what zone you live in.  Mums come in all shades/colours and some types of mums bloom throughout fall.


  2. This is a great time of year to pick up all the perennials on sale! They may look a bit legy, but next year they will be good as new. I just planted some new hibiscus and they are doing great. They will bloom here in zone 5 through August. For September blooms, try fall blooming anemonies, toad lilies, Autumn Joy sedum and Vera Jamison sedum, repeat blooming hydrangea, such as Endess Summer. And for next year, be sure to plant some things that bllonm until frost, such as dahlias, zinnia and everblooming roses.

  3. Daylilllies. They bloom in the fall too!

  4. I live in California (which has a long growing season and a warm fall) and we're planting annual Sunflowers, Cosmos and field poppies this weekend for bloom in September/October.
