  1. Hey, surveys suggest Coles is the cheapest supermarket in Australia, with Woolworths also close up there. Both of these stores have a large range of "everyday items". For fresher food, maybe try something like Flemington markets in Sydney, or look out for something similar in other cities. IGA, ALDI, 5 Star and SPAR are some other independent options, but they don't always stock as many products.

  2. I highly recommend you go to the "good" ones...... I definitely don't recommend you go the the "bad" food stores.

  3. The best food stores in sydeny, melbourne perth and adelaide are, Simon johnson the provodore, Bottega Rottolo and the Essential Ingredient

  4. For fresh produce go to local farmers markets.  I think places like coles and woolworths suck as half the store is filled with unnutritous packaged foods.  Those places are great for washing powders and the like but nothing beats getting fruit & vege from a green grocer; meat from the butcher; fish from the seafood shop....you get my drift?

  5. For general shopping Coles or Woolworths supermarkets are very similar. For a cheaper option try Aldi or IGA, but you can't get everything in these stores.

  6. I'd have to say Woolworths. They have a better choice as compared to Coles, plus the cost is quite reasonable.
