I'm babysitting my baby cousin, and I have to changer her diaper too, I wasn't happy about this but then I was told that I can use gloves. They didn't specificly say which type to use, but I'm assuming either rubber or latex, of whuch they have both.

Which gloves are better for changing a babies diaper with,

rubber gloves

or latex gloves

  1. Why Gloves. never heard of that before .  We have had children

  2. You don't wear gloves when changing a baby's diaper.  What idiot came up with that idea, huh?

Just wash your hands after the work is completed.

    Sheeeeeeeeeeeesh.

  3. Rubber gloves or food service latex....

  4. latex.  Rubber gloves are technically latex as well, they just aren't as stretchy.  PVC gloves would be the absolute best, as they can't cause an allergic skin reaction.  However latex reaction in a baby is extremely rare.  Go for the latex.

  5. If your stomach is weak  and you are afraid of getting dirty , you shouldn't volunteer to babysit  . Use surgical gloves you buy those at the pharmacy.

  6. I just put the kid on the side walk, rip his diaper off and hose him down. No gloves needed.

  7. Guess you`ve figured by now, gloves are`nt a real necessity!

Would have liked to have seen this question asked 30 yrs ago.

  8. Who uses gloves to change a diaper??? Just wash your hands after you are done.

  9. Latex is an exposure allergy. The more often a person is exposed to it, the more likely they are to be allergic to it. Do yourself and the baby a favor and either find some nitrile or vinyl gloves, or get over your phobia and wash your hands afterwards.

  10. none, just use your hands and you run a lower risk of the baby getting a rash from your gloves if there is an allergic reaction.  Man up!

  11. Don't be so fussy! Just use your hands - you can always wash them. But if you must, use rubber - apparently latex causes allergies.

  12. Never use latex on a baby...the baby could be allergic.  Best to stick with disposable latex free.  But, I think you find (after you change one or two diapers) that it's not necessary.  The baby wipe shields your hand from touching anything "gross".  Just wash your hands after you're done...easy as can be.

  13. It' s not that serious.

  14. wow gloves how old are you like 7

    its just p**p/pee

just wash it off later on when you done changing her

  15. Its really not that serious you can always wash your hands after you finish. grow up

  16. They are both the same. Latex is a rubber. There is latex and there is nitrile and there is vinyl.
