What type of gloves are better to use when washing the dishes,

rubber gloves? or latex gloves?

  1. Rubber gloves are usually better since they are less permeable than latex.  Latex has good water resistance, but any organic/oily materials will penetrate latex.  Rubber will typically be more resistant to both.  When working with oily material (like when I change my car's oil), I use nitrile gloves (which you can get at your local home improvement or auto parts store).


  2. I use to have a problem with an  allergy to dish washing soap.  I used Playtex latex gloves.  They have a nice soft lining.  But I also found that the insides would get damp.  So I would use baby powder to dry out the insides.  And when I used them I would shake out the powder.  Then slather on hand lotion.  My hands and nails were wonderful during that period that I used gloves to wash dishes.

  3. THOSE BIG YELLOW GLOVES THAT THE WOMAN HAD ON THE MR. CLEAN COMMERCIAL.
