  1. Same as it has now.  A representative republic.

    And Mel is full of it.

    And we are NOT and NEVER HAVE BEEN a democracy.  Sometimes our government has been referred to as a democratic republic, but that would simply mean a represenative republic.  In a democracy, every issue would have to come up for a vote afforded to all citizens.


  2. A democracy.  George Washington took office on April 30, 1789 as our country's first president.

    Actually I'm not, but you'll never hear a democrat agree with this.  Woodrow Wilson was a liberal progressive.  He started the first income tax, promoted labor unions, nationalized the railroads. This is liberal big government.  Tax and give to the people socialism is what he believed in.
