I just found a place where I can take guitar lessons. Bad part is I need my own guitar, which I don't have. So, I was wondering... What would be a good place to buy a cheap one?

Also, what type is good for a beginner?

  1. Electric guitar hurts your ears and your still a beginner so Acoustic is the one for you! It sounds great and cheaper than the electric guitar. Buy a guitar where you take your guitar lessons or online shopping.

Acoustic guitar is about $30-$200 (at google.com) and for electric guitar is $69-$1000 (also at google.com)

  2. It's like anything else, you get what you pay for. Pick up a cheap flat top 100 to 200 range. Go to the local music store and start picking around on guitars at your price range until you find one you like. Try to find something that 's not going to require you to super glue your finger tips to fret a chord.

  3. a EURO its a fender strat except made in china or somethin!

i have one and i love it!

  4. Nothing too fancy. I have a Mitchell acoutic/electric which I love. I got it from Guitar Center for $200. If you want an electric, get a Fender Stratocaster or its cheaper Squire. You can play anything on that guitar. Blue, Jazz, Metal, Country. You'll just need an amp to hear it is the down side.

    Get a cheap acoustic.

  5. well you never said electric or acoustic

if you wanna cheap electric that doesnt sound crappy and looks good

    go for an epiphone sg

you can get them for as little as $150 and they sound good

    acoustic?

    go for a jasmine takamine

they run for about $100 but they sound better than a lot of high dollar guitars

they sound is beautiful and rich

    hope this helped

  6. acoustic is the best choice for a beginner

  7. It depends on how much money you are willing to spend. You should probably go with an acoustic or an acoustic electric for your first guitar. Go onto www.musiciansfriend.com they have a great selection of guitars for any skill level of guitarist. Also you can get good deals on quality brands such as: Ibanez, Alvarez, Ovation, Taylor, Yamaha and Fender, with prices ranging from 100$ to around 500$. If you stick to these brands you should be satisfied with the sound quality and the price of your instrument. Thanks and hope that I helped.

  8. Try the Jasmine S33. It sounds great and it even comes with a hard case.

  9. First Act Guitars from wal-mart are cheap and pretty good

a lot of experienced people talk down about First Act but they just think Fender and Gibson and all the top brands are the only good guitars around, but theres a lot of cheap, good brands around you just have to look for them

  10. Acoustic (non-electric) would be less costs in general, since you won't have to buy an amp, cords, etc., so I suggest that. A reasonable price would be around $30-50.

  11. acoustic ? - buy a cheap one first

electric - anything from 100-200 bucks
