I want to start taking guitar lessons so i thought maybe i should save a little money and buy an acoustic/electric guitar. Then i said no just start acoustic. I was looking at Daisy rock guitars because they're girly but i don't know what brand is better with acoustics?

  1. Playing acoustic guitars does not label the guitarist as a beginner. Rather, it promotes the capabilities reached as a professional instrumentalist.

During my professional years I played my Gretsch 6120 as my primary instrument, but often switched to the acoustics. Today, I prefer playing my acoustic guitars because it keeps my calluses toughened and my style honed. I enjoy the sound and sustain an acoustic can deliver and much prefer not relying upon artificial amplification, such as distortions, fuzz, and other abberations that do not a guitarist make.

  2. Maton is the best brand of acoustic guitar available... if you can i would reccomend going the extra mile and buying a elec/acoucstic... much handier i can asure you... but a little more expensive....

The only difference between electric/acoustic and just acoustic are that with the elec you can plug it into and amp and make it louder and put effects on it if you wish... but with just an acoustic you wont get that luxury it'll be just as is....

i bought just acoustics and regreted it... so i went and had all my guitars modified into electric ones....

so if i were you i'd go a maton electric acoustic....they have a good range in varying prices... check them out.... if you need a cheaper one then monterey is the better bet... for quality and price....just make sure your looking at the acoustic sections

    www.montereyguitars.com/

PS: I agree and disagree with the girl above... it takes more skill to play an acoustic..... rather than electric cause the strings are firmer and the body is chunkier.....

but you might even want to get the monterey as an acoustic.... cause you will definitely end up wanting to buy an electric as a serious guitarist.... but having an acoustic is always a + though.... never a -

  3. If I were you I'd get maybe a second hand acoustic guitar or something. Because once you master the basics you don't want an acoustic anymore! It'll make you look like you're still a beginner [in my opinion]. So get a cheap-as s acoustic but save up for an electric one.

Good luck on your lessons! (:
