i have a dell inspiron 6000 and want to upgrade the hard drive, so i pulled out the old one to see if its ide or sata. The actual hard drive was IDE but it seemed to have a IDE to SATA adapter and seeing as SATA are slightly better i want to replace it with a SATA hard drive rather than IDE but i cant be sure if the SATA one will work can anyone help?
