  1. We need the structure of a "bought" curriculum.  We don't do "one size fits all", though.  I try to find the right materials for the kid, rather than make the kid fit the books I've bought.  We use mostly Christian materials, but we also use really good secular materials when that's what fits our needs at the time.

  2. Eclectic - we use a variety of secular resources and combine parent directed activities and child-led learning.

  3. relaxed eclectic

We use free and cheap resources.  We use the library and internet sources.   I create a weekly agenda but don't wig out if new ideas come to us during the week and/ or certain things just don't work out.

If our son finds an interest that is valuable to his education, I let him run with it.  If he starts 'goofin off' too much, I pull him back in with specific requirements.

  4. We mostly use Alpha Omega Lifepacs & Switched on Schoolhouse for grades 3 & 4.  We also work on unit studies when we find a great interest in something.

  5. daily work of spelling, reading, math, histroy, science, civics, journal keeping, spanish, homesmac, arts/crafts, geography, shop, all though our homeschooling.

I get the ideas off of homeschooling sites, & all the books, I either get for free off of the web, or through other auction sites, used, of course ,because new texts are out of this world.

In our state, we can choice & pick what he can learn. I like the fact we can choice his work.
