  1. Appaloosa or Appaloosa mix. Need strength in hind quarters.

I  love the pattern but never fan of the Appaloosa because of the rear quarters is larger than the front quarters and I like proportion for a riding horse.  However, the larger hind quarters which include rear end and throughout entire hind legs has the additional strength and longer years for the streneous turns for barrel racing.  You may find a Standard or other mixed breeds with the stout hind quarters you need and prevent wear on the hind legs.  Also, beware of rear white socks.  Majority of horses with white socks, legs or leggings also have the softer 'white' hooves which damage easier.

  2. Paint or Quarter Horse

  3. quarter horse or appaloosa

  4. Deffinately a quarter horse because they are solid but can move around the barrels with percision and speed and they are bred for things like that.

    Good luck(:

  5. A quarter horse mix

Your right no gaited horses " Actually get what ever you want , as long as he has the right built

It sounds like you already know what you want ??

    Good luck

  6. Quarter horse would DEFINATELY be your best bet. otherwise i would suggest an anglo-arab

    good luck!!

  7. QUARTER HORSE

  8. That's a no-brainer. Barrel racing = Quarter Horse. When it comes to sprinting the Quarter Horse can launch to full speed in three strides and it's been said that a Quarter Horse can spin on a dime and toss you back 9 cents. If you want a superlative barrel racing horse the Quarter Horse is the best choice hands-down. And pole bending? The Quarter Horse excells there also with little effort.

  9. Quarter Horse most definatly..but also a paint or appaloosa could work out. and idk about no thourobred..they can work out somtimes too it depends on the horse..but i'd go with a QH
