What type of i-pod should i get???

i want one that i can put all the songs off my cd's onto it

Any type of ipod will connect to a docking station so get whichever one you like! And you can put all of your CDs into any of them.

You can go ahead and download itunes (its free) and start loading your CDs while you wait for the ipod.

don't worry about connecting to speakers.  ANY speaker made this day in age is made ipod/mp3 player friendly.

if you really need all of your songs on there than i would suggest the 160 gb classic video.  that's the biggest.  but it all depends on how many cds you have.  i have about 40 cds on my ipod touch, a movie, a rented movie (automatically deletes) a bunch of video podcasts (best of you tube, the soup,) batman gotham knight, south park episodes, prison break episodes. and still have 4 gigs of free space.  and that's out of 16gb.  so if ALL you want is music than as you can see i can add over 200 cds on my touch.  the advantage the touch has over everything else is if you have a wifi connection (i strongly suggest one for your house) then u can use the internet, check email, look at youtube and use all the web based apps they have on there now.  and the internet is nothing like a phone browser it is the real deal internet, minus a flash player.  you see sites how the computer sees sites on the ipod touch/iphone.

and the graphics for these games is amazing.  i have crash bandicoot go kart on here and you use the ipod as the actual steering wheel.  there are a few other apps that i have that utilizes the sensor (accelerometer) as well.  the thing is amazing.
