What type of job (if any) could I get working for the FBI?

I'm a 25 year old female, have a BA in psychology and I have work experience, but it's just adminisrative stuff. I would like to work for the FBI, but preferably in an administrative position or something that doesn't involve directly a lot of "arresting" people and the like. Is that possible? Is it extremely hard to get in the FBI? Do you have to be extremely intelligent?

  1. If you are of above average intelligence you might not be accepted by the FBI. From what I've seen of them, over the years, they are the only ones with a really good opinion of themselves. It is a police organization like many others and its people are usually not outstanding specimens. The  things that the FBI has going for it are:

    Unlimited funds ( tax funds)

Limitless time to work on cases

    Unlimited arrogance and authority

A massive public relations dep't which always gives the FBI credit for what other law enforcement agencies accomplish.

  2. You could actually go work for the CIA as a researcher. They do a lot of administrative data stuff. They dont get cool badges or issued cars though.

The FBI would be like an HR job probably, otherwise criminal profiling.

    Just curious... Why the FBI?

  3. You can work in HR, Payroll, or a number of other administrative positions.  No you do not have to be extremely intelligent, but being qualified is mandatory.
