We opened our front door, and a little baby lizard came into our house. We caught it but now we don't know what type it is. It is about 2 inches long with a 1/2 inch tail, the top of it is orange-ish, the sides are brown-ish and the belly is silver-ish. It has a pointy head, and smooth body. But i think it might just be a baby and that it may grow to have scales. It is not wet, it is dry.

  1. almost all lizards have scales from birth u sure its not a salamander. salamanders arent constantly wet but they can stay in this state forever. i assume you've let it go since keeping wild caught reptile and amphibians causes life threatening levels of stress and only the stupid and cruel do it

  2. According to my research, and after watching Jurassic Park 3 times in a row (the whole series), You are currently experiencing a Veloci-Raptor attack. They send in a baby to obtain your scent, then the adults, usually 8 feet tall and 15 feet in length, hide in your television, and or shrubs, and attack you from the side...

    Beware...

  3. All lizards are dry.

I would say it should be a species of skink. If you could tell us the state that you live in it would make it a lot easier.

  4. it would really help if you posted a picture...
