  1. Further to "Rinka's" message:

I second Clinique. This is one of the main brands that is designed for people with sensitive or allergenic skin (there aren't too many good quality brands that do). not only that, their range of colours, and finishes is endless. Further, you can get great coverage, and all look natural. you can get some that are buildable to help with the redness, however i would suggest a Concealer with a pigment, blue/green, (or tinted moisturiser/primer) to counteract that redness. Use something like "Smashbox" - they have these pigments to counteract this problem. If you get a good concealer it should hide the redness. (again Clinique?!)

Try not to use moisturisers that are full of chemicals, as this might make it flare and worsen. Clinique will have moisturises that are also designed for those problems.

Clinique is reliable, long wearing, natural, provides great coverage, and great colours. It also has colours with yellow undertones and pink undertones for diversity of skin colours and types.

Also, clinique is great for dry skin. I would recommend using any of their foundation lines - all are great. I have dry skin and use Superbalanced Compact makeup, which is like a compact paste. As long as moisturise b4 hand it should be fine no matter what foundation. I have dry skin, especially in the winter, and this works perfectly for me, and I've never had an issue with breakouts, dry skin, clogged pores, flakiness, or allergies. Clinique are miracle workers!

  2. Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is really good!

  3. Clinique is def the best, also by the Clinique Moisturizer, i think it's called splurge. It's a pinkish cream. This willl def help your skin and you will look natural and fresh.   I love their foundation and powder, it's specifically for sensitive skin. You would prob use the yellow undertones foundation or powder since your skin has redness in it. Try it you will like it. Do not put makeup on your lids, that is not good for you and will only irritate your sensitive skin more. If you don't want to spend too much on a moisturizer (although its very imp) you can buy the Cetaphil moisturizer for your face at your local drugstore, it's for ppl with dry skin. I have used it and it really does work well. Drink plenty of water, your body needs to be hydrated. Also, use the Cetaphil face wash, do not ever use soap on your face.

  4. An over the counter cortisone cream would help the irritation and get rid of the redness associated with allergic reactions.

If your skin is sensitive, I'd go with a powdered mineral makeup like Bare Minerals.

Most Clinique products are heavily laced with scent.  I don't recommend it for reactive skin like yours, no matter how hypoallergenic they claim to be.

  5. Physicians Formula cosmetics were created by a Doctor because his wife was allergic to the ingredients in makeup.

So there arent any allergens that will cause breakouts or an itchy burning reaction.

My sisters & I use it~~& I can't use makeup with bismuth in it.  We all love Physicians Formula.  It doesnt cost a lot & its easy to find in drug stores or stores like Target or WalMart.

Check their minerals line & dust on a green concealer to cover redness.  Then try PF's minerals foundation.  Just dip your poofy brush in the powder, tap the extra off, & apply with gentle circles over your face.

I'd add some blush & lip gloss & mascara only to stay natural & not irritate your skin anymore.

Always remove your makeup & use a gentle cleanser like  Cetaphils~ it wont leave your face dry.  Use Oil of Olays moisturizer for sensitve skin.  Also try facial masks created for dry skin.

If you have rosacea that doesnt improve~~ask your Dermatologist whats a good beaury regimen & cosmetic line to try.

  6. clinique, absolutely. their range is designed for people who have really sensitive skin but still want to wear makeup. all their products (makeup/perfume/skincare) is 100% hypoallergenic and it wont irritate skin. plus its of a really good quality and even people who dont have skin allergies like to use it.
