  1. You can't buy it yourself, directly.  No company that I know of, sells any kind of professional liability, directly.  You HAVE to use an agent.  Call some local, independent agents in YOUR AREA, and have them get you a couple quotes.


  2. You will need professional liability insurance.  Look up independent agents in your local phone book.  That way you can get a list of companies and compare quotes and coverage.  Good luck.

  3. AMTA offers a pretty comprehensive liability insurance for the cost of membership which is $235 a year plus chapter fee which ranges from $0-$30 depending on what state you live in. I carried it whan I was practicing-never had cause to use it (thankfully).
