Go to your local beer distributer and take a look at the vast number of brands and choices.  Obviously this is not a monopoly.  While there are a few brands that do have a large market share I do not see this as significant to your question.

Beer is made all over the world.  For people with different tastes.  While you have major producers you also have local mico breweries that enjoy niche markets.

I do not see the beer industry as being monopolistic or an oligopoly.
