  1. Accounting is more about memorizing rules than it is about math.  Most of the math that they use is addition and subtraction.  Even there, spreadsheets and computers do most of the math for them.

    An accounting student would probably have to take a lower level Calculus class and a Business Statistics class.

    At a high level (people with PhDs in Accounting), very high levels of math are needed.
