51cc scooter.  In general the larger the engine, the heavier the scooter and more gas it uses.

    Good Luck...

  2. As others have said, the Yamaha Zuma 125 does real well on gas mileage at around 100.  I have a Kymco Agility 125 that gets about 90MPG and tops out at 60-65MPH.  Kymco also has a nice People S125 that I believe has similar stats.

  3. Don't believe what the mfr puts on the sticker for mileage.  No 125 cc scooter gets 125 mpg.  Also, the odometer and speedometers on scooters are notoriously inaccurate.  I've done the math on my scooter, which is a Genuine Buddy 125.  I used my GPS to verify ACTUAL SPEED AND MILEAGE.  So, here are the real numbers.  Speed first....

To go 25 my speedo must read 30

To go 35 my speedo must read 41

To go 55 my speedo must read 64

Your results will vary from mine.

    Now for the odometer....

I travelled 6.0 miles on my odometer and my GPS told me I had gone 5.5 miles.  This means take the odometer reading and multiply it by 0.917 to get the actual miles travelled.

I fill the gas tank when the needle hits the peg.  It is always between 1.1 and 1.2 gallons and the miles travelled on the odometer are always between 105 and 115.  Lets average the gas used to 1.15 and the total miles to 110.  Here is the math part....    multiply 110 miles by .917 to get the actual miles travelled, turns out to be 100.  Divide 100 miles by 1.15 gallons to get REAL mileage.  That works out to 87 mpg.  The mfr claims 90 mpg, thats pretty close.  I tend to ride hard and go 45 to 55 mph a lot because of the roads I ride on, also my scoot is new (800 miles on it now).  As it breaks in the mileage will increase a little and if I accelerated slower (what fun is that!) I believe I would get 90 mpg.  Hope this helps.

  4. My Yamaha Vino 125 gets 100mpg (imperial gallon, 90mpg US) combined city/highway driving.

  5. Yamaha 125 Zuma claims 125 mpg
