  1. This is not a botany question.

  2. ska for some reason.

  3. All music seems to stimulate the brain if you really listen instead of just hearing it, if you know what I mean. Upbeat music tends to lift your mood whereas slower, mournful stuff can bring you down. Seems like common sense really. A lot depends also on the person listening to it because if music brings up memories it might have the opposite effect than you would otherwise expect. It's all to do with association. Or so I'm told! Try classical music for intellectual stimulation. Or whatever makes you feel good!

  4. Stimulate Your Brain with Classical Music

High frequency sound – around 5,000 hertz. Any sound between 5,000 and 8,000 hertz has been found to recharge our brain’s batteries.

Like listening to bird song early in morning...

5,000 hertz is also the frequency that energizes plants. In fact plants showed a 700 percent increase in efficiency of absorbing nutrients when exposed to high frequency CLASSIC music. This frequency actually helps the little pores on the plant's leaves called stomata to open up.

If your CD collection includes music by Mozart, Baroque Music or even Tibetan Chants, keep listening. In numerous studies, these sounds have been found to charge the cortex of the brain and stimulate health and wellness.

    On the other hand

At 120-125 hertz you begin to hear the kick drums and bass guitar common to rock music. These lower frequencies produce the opposite effect - they drain us.

    Why is this?

Because they have wave-lengths longer than we are tall, which is why lower frequencies are FELT as well as heard. You can feel this low frequency full-body sensation at dance clubs and rock concerts. Or from listening to most FM radio stations.

Since we are mostly exposed to low frequency sounds in the media, it's better to balance our brain and body by listening to high frequency classical music at least once a day.

    It’s easy and effortless...

  5. for lower acheivers its a simple thump thump of a bass beat. normal people are more attracted to the melodic and contra punctal variations

  6. there is research that says classical music (Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, etc) but I belive any type of music would stimulate the brain - just depends on how? Good stimulation or just background noise....

  7. Any music whatsoever will stimulate the brain, but most people find the inoffensive, soothing melodies of classical music the most stimulating.

Musical stimulation occurs when sound is between 3000 and 8800 hertz, though more stimulation will occur between 3000 and 5000 hertz. Since classical instruments generally fell into this range, classical music will stimulate more often than not.

  8. Any. I find classical the most stimulating.
