  1. oxy.

  2. As a couple of others have mentioned, ibuprofen (motrin, etc.) is generally recommended for dental discomfort from braces unless there is some reason that you should not take it (e.g., bleeding disorder, allergy). Your orthodontist is the best source for a good recommendation, though. Call up the office and ask -- they probably get this question a lot.

  3. 2 advil or 2 motrin.....that's what my doc told me to take before i got mine

  4. OUCH!!!! ...jeez. You might want to see if your parents have Tyelon 3s and maybe they can give you ONE. If you take more than one it will make you sleepy.. if they dont, try Excedrin Extra Strength and take 2.... otherwise you might not be feeling well enough to go =( bc trust me it hurts!!! good luck!

  5. Nurofen (ibprofen) is the correct medication for dental pain. The maximum amount of Nurofen for adults is 800 milligrams per dose or 3200 mg per day (4 maximum doses), they consider children over 12 to be in the adult dosage range, so you should be fine.

  6. smoke pot before the concert

  7. motrin 600 mg. 3X a day!

  8. Honestly, it's not that bad.  A couple of Tylenol or some Advil should do just fine.

  9. ask your dr when it's done, depends on many factors.

  10. ibprofen. and however much the bottle tells you to.

  11. Read here http://bisina.info/order_pain_relief_en-... and then consult you doctor

  12. Ibuprofen...good for all kinds of dental pain because it reduces inflammation. Talk to your orthodontist about the correct dose for your size and weight. Prescription ibu is usually not mixed with other medicines and isn't a time released pill or anything, it simply comes in a higher dose, just so you know...so if you get put on 600-800 mg dose, you can just take 3-4 of the over the counter tablets. It will be the same thing. Save your family and insurance the money.

If you require a prescription, have a nice talk with your doc about this first. Be careful of the hard stuff, such as Vicodin. They give that stuff out like candy and it is very alarming how many people start taking it for all the right reasons but the slightest misuse, or taking it too long, or whatever, and they get hooked on it.

  13. Orthodontia does not necessitate opiates.  Tylenol or ibuprofen will work well.  You can even take it right before the braces go on.
