  1. only cash...euros...I send you also a link from all the Christmas Markets in Germany!

    http://www.weihnachtsmarkt-deutschland.d...

    I love this website!!!

  2. Cash in each countries currency is always acceptable.

  3. The Christmas Markets in Germany only accept cash (Euro) because they are private individuals who make their wares at home and only sell them once a year at the 'Weihnachtsmarkt'. The only place you can use your credit cards are in retail stores.

  4. Weinnacht Markt in Deutschland (EURO), in stores, EURO and VISA.  Austria EURO, Prague, their countries money

Some will accept USD, but be prepared to get ripped off.  The exchange rate is terrible.

  5. Ditto "LOW"'s answer (I don't care about the points) and adding that Czech Republic money is called Koruna (crowns).  Conversion rates here http://www.xe.com   Best (cheapest/easiest/best exchange rate) to get local currency from ATM/minibank once you arrive there; just be sure to have a 4 digit pin code.

  6. Only CASH.

But remember in Germany you pay with Euro, not with DM (Deutsche Mark)

    Regards

  7. cash

  8. At the markets its mostly cash.

  9. at christmas markets, where are only mobile counters, is only accepted cash money!

Only at large stands could be the opportunity to pay with a creditcard. but i´ve never seen that!!

Its unusual in these countries to pay small bills with CC! So take some cash money in € (Euro) currency with you. Of course, you can get cash with your CC or Bankcard or Traveller-checks at every saving bank or ATM, which are everywhere all over the countries.

  10. From reading.  A lot of places take either Cash or EuroCard with a Maestro symbol.  The Markets won't.

If your debit card has a Maestro symbol on it.  It should work if your bank activates that feature of the debit card.  You will need to enter your pin number.  Just watch the fees you will get charged no matter how you use the card.

Visa Plus debit cards is limited to a very few locations.

Make sure you tell your bank(s) you will be traveling outside of your home country and to different locations.

In Germany debit cards are more popular than credit cards because they are cheaper for the merchants.
