I live in a house with a beagle, 2 younger siblings, and clean freak parents. I don't want to spend a lot of money, and I don't want the bird to make too much noise. What domestic bird should I get, and where should I get it from?

  1. Well you could get a parakeet but it makes noise there about

$45 to 50 dollors plus the food & toys. Its kinda hard to take care of but not realy. There playful. They like to chew on stuff so i reccomend  a cuddle bone.(if you dont know wat that is ask the staff)You should get a parakeet at a pet store. (never get a cockotail they are REAL LOUD!)

  2. a stuffed one...it wont make a mess...it wont make noise...but the dog may chew on it, besides you arent ready for a bird if you dont even know what kind you want!

  3. Get a small bird, such as a budgie (parakeet). Keep him in your room if your parents don't want to clean up after hime. Talk to him and play with him whenever you are in your room. I prefer cockatiels, but they are dusty birds, so it might not work in your home.

  4. I have 4parakeets and no its not really hard to clean up. They're really easy to train too. They're also not expansive. Everytime im down, they fly on my should to cheer me up. Parakeet(budgie) are playful and funny. Hope that helped.

  5. If you have to put a bird in your room, a canary, a parakeet , a parrotlet will be fine, they are small so they don't make a lot of noise  . ( Parrotlet & parakeet can be taught to talk , although the keet is harder than the parrotlet . ) You can buy the bird from a breeder ( cheaper and better than a pet store ) . Sometimes those breeders ( like me ...lol...) do have a small cheaper cage to sell to you too . Good luck . TM.

  6. a green cheek conure is a nice, small, cuddly, energetic, quiet, bird. less on the messy side too. get a cage with a mess collector (around the rim of the cage there should be a metal thing that collects the extra food and droppings)  and put it in a room that you dont mind getting all dusty and seedy. they can get up to $300 for the bird, but if you find a proper breeder you can get one cheep. the cage should cost around $100 though. if you want an even cheeper bird, a cockatiel is good. same size as the green cheek, but can cost between 25-100 $'s. youd still need a larger 50-200 $ cage... a budgie is the cheepest with a cage under $50 and its $15 itself.

  7. Cockatiels are cleaner than any other birds kept inside, they are quiet most of the time but love to sing tunes and talk if you get a hand tamed male. The babies and other animals will learn to love the bird too.
