Question:

What type of plant is this and how is it cared for?

I bought this plant at a corner store. The guy selling it didn't know what it was. Does anyone know what its name is? It seems sorta moss like. Its planted in sphagnum. I have no idea how to take care of it. See the plant here: http://www.chowntown.com/DSC04249.JPG

  1. Wow, that's a cool plant.  I have never seen it before. You may want to try  taking it to your local gardener or nursery.


  2. It's a pipewort.  They are common in southern wetlands.  Eriocaulon sp.  Here's a link.

  3. that i believe is a tall mushroom head plant, it requires shade and little water but it does need a humid enviornment, soaked pebbles in water  placed around the plant usualy do this.
