What type of plant is this ?

it is white in the center of the leaves/ and the rest is dark green

The white indicates that it is variegated but we need a pic for identification. There are hundreds of plants which qualify as white in the centre and dark green.

Size of leaves? Vining? etc., etc.

It could be any number of plants. If you had a picture, it would be better. But the two that come to mind, for me, are a Philodendron (inside) or a Hosta (outside). You don't say if it's an indoor or outdoor plant.
