  1. Personality and protection, I'd recommend a Labrador (Yellow, Brown, or Black) or the Golden Retriever.  Their personalities are very mellow and adore kids, and will be very protective.

  2. Get a   CAVALIER KING CHARLES SPANIEL they are brilliant with children and ever so affectionate and loving and easy to train you wont regret getting one of these breed of dog i have 2 and my granddaughter age 8 months plays with both of them

  3. Oooh...Shih Tzus are amazing with children.. and they are cute and small and don't moult!

  4. first of all how old are your children, that makes a big difference on choice, what are your home circumstances, eg, do you have large garden etc, i would look into these before you choose your puppy.

  5. I would suggest a Shih Tsu.They are a very gentle dog and like to play.

  6. I think a Beagle makes a great family pet. They are sweet, happy, fun and very playful.

    And they love food!!

  7. terrerors are very small and cute but sometimes they will just want to lay next to you and sleep and not play all the time

  8. i'm a kid and we've got a labrador . Labs are cute, cuddly, great with kids and will eat almost anything you put in front of them. but they need a walk once a day or lots of space to run around coz they grow fast. get them when they're pupies that is when they are cutest!!!

  9. lab or a goldy.

  10. Greyhound. They are lazy, loving non aggresive and dont require much exercise.

  11. Boxer dog

  12. a beagle is great with children cause there so playful

  13. Def. some kind of retriever they are very friendly great with kids

  14. I have met a lot of dogs in my life. One thing that I would suggest is that if you have children it may be a good idea to get an adult dog. An adult dog is already adjusted to life and will be better able to deal with children. For a family that has children I would suggest a Corgi. I do not own one myself but I know two families that have corgi's and they are very happy with them. The corgi's are good with strange people coming into the home, but let you know when someone is coming. They are little dogs with big hearts.   Good Luck!

  15. It depends on the age of your children. If they are a bit younger then i would stay away from smaller dogs like chihuahuas, they tend to be a bit nippy around kids! Go along the lines of a retriever or boxer. You really must do your research!

  16. defo a labrador. i had one as a child, and have just bought another one today, for my son.

they're loving, loyal, obedient dogs, and very playful with kids. a kid couldn't have a better dog.

all i have to do now is give ours a name!!

  17. A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is an excellent house dogs and good with children

Will enjoy the attention and doesn't need a lot of exercise.

  18. Depending on the size you can get, I would definitely recommend a Golden Retriever or Labrador.

If you are looking for a smaller dog, perhaps a Jack Russell or Springer Spaniel.

  19. well i have a lab mixed with a pit and he is excellent with my 2 kids 7 months and 3 years old make sure whatever dog you get you get him neutered beacuse that makes them less aggressive

  20. as a veterinary nurse who has seen many breeds of dogs over the years, i would recommend a lab or retriever if you want a larger dog, or a cavalier king charles if you want a smaller breed (i have only seen ONE agressive one of these in the 14 years i've nursed).

  21. any of those will do.

  22. I would strongly suggest a Boxer! They are very very sweet dogs and great with children! I have 3 of them and they are great. They hardly ever bark and although they do shed they have short hair and its not that mess or that bad of a shed. Females get more attached to the male owner for some reason and vis versa witht the males. Females dont grow as big as the males. Females only get to about 65 lbs. and males get to be about 75-80 lbs. Females are shorter than males also :)

    i hope i helped!

  23. Collies are good with kids.
