What type of rock is this?

What kind of rock?

I'm not quite sure what that rock is.  I'd have to be able to feel and test it for sure.  It kinda looks a little like calcite and the black crystals kinda look like tourmaline.

But, it's pretty hard to tell what it is in the pics.

The crystals look like tourmaline. I saw something very similar in size in a pegmatite intrusion in the Black Hills, South Dakota.

tourmaline is what it looks like to me

Note: I see someone added that above.  I used to see it commonly in the granites of the Black Hills of South Dakota

Columbite Tantalite looks like that as well but is much less common
