  1. ok, your computer should come with wireless connectivity built in if I did my research right, so you will not need an extra adapter. As far as router goes, I would recommend either netgear or linksys.

This is the model I have, and it seems to work well for me. They carry them at bestbuy, and many other places, like Staples, and Amazon.com. I know this is a very popular model.

NETGEAR - RangeMax 802.11g Wireless Router

    Model: WPN824

I do not have any specific recommendations as far as linksys goes (simply because I do not have a Linksys). I know they received the best ratings in a recent survey, and are very popular, and I know people who have them. So I know they make good routers.

Good luck hope this helps you. I am not an expert at networking, but this is what I would do.

  2. I personally use Linksys and i think its really good. if your laptop is windows xp or higher, you wont need an adapter for the wireless interent. but if your laptop is windows xp and lower (which i doubt) then you will need an interent adaptor card. the Linksys package itself is really simple, it comes all in one package for about $100 CAD.

hope this helps, enjoy and good luck!
