I like both subjects but I’m more into Social Sciences than Biology. I’ve talked to a couple of people about this but they were trying to convince me to chose Biology instead because there would be more job offers for Biology teachers than Social Science teachers.

  1. Biology.  There is a major shortage is secondary math and science teachers all over the country.

  2. In Australia there is definitely more of a demand for biology teachers simply because more secondary schools have it as part of their curriculum. If you're looking to almost guarantee a job maths and possibly physics would do that. good luck ;)

  3. in england it is probably social sciences

  4. Being a secondary education teacher myself I can tell you out of those two I would say Biology. I do recommend that you be well rounded and include other sciences. Also if you want to be employable anywhere do special education. As a special education teacher I get emails trying to pull me away from my current job to work for other districts. Most of all if are good at what you do, you do you will be in demand. One more thing when picking a school to work at make sure its the right fit for you not all are the same.

Best of luck in your choice and your future.
