She has just started to walk but the walking shoes seem too solid for her feet. Will the ones for cruising be good enough?

  1. Not supposed to wear shoes when learning to walk!  She needs to be barefoot for muscles etc.  And don't go to walmart for shoes - go to a proper shoe store and get her fitted.  The fitted shoes (flexible sole and arch support are very important) she can wear outside.

  2. If you go to a children's shoe store, they will fit shoes to fit best, length and width.  It's best for her feet to have a well fitted pair of shoes to learn in.

  3. I don't remember what the brand name was, but when my daughter started working I got her the one at walmart, It looks almost like a hiking boot as it goes up to the ankle, its very thin leather and very very light. They were tie up so she couldn't get them off. I tried every other kind of shoe and they seems too heavy for her and she couldn't walk properly. I think it was a stride right?

  4. get something flexible.  robeez abd bobux are nice soft sole shoes.  I also like preschoolians, see kai run, and pedipeds.

  5. Yes cruisers are fine. My child didn't walk till she was 14 months old but she was only a size 2 shoe and only the cruisers came in that size.

  6. yes they will be fine for now as most shoe shops ie Clark's recommend that they are solid on their feet before you get proper shoes for them

  7. We had this problem with our son as he started walking quite early (10 months) We tried him with the walking ones and he was a little unsteady at first but then he soon got used to them. If you take her to a proper child's shoes hope they will be able to give you the correct advice and if they don't work out, take them back and swap them. After all, your baby won't have walked outside in them.

  8. they suggest no shoes if baby is walking inside as that strengthens their feet muscles and helps them develop their balance...hth

if outside,  i would try to find some that will protect her feet but are very flexible..
