What type of snake is this please answer?

1 type is a black top and orangey bottom and a yellow ring around its neck the other has the same bottom just a brown top and still has the ring

hey are both ring necked snakes but ones a prairie one so ya and you are lucky you found those they are really really pretty but they aren't dangerous at all no venom but cool looking

it might be a rough earth snake if it is often under ground they eat bugs

(worms) you found it on your patio or on a rock maybe even while digging if so the name is rough earth snake.it has small bead eyes you cant find this snake in a pet shop

It is a ring neck snake. It is completely harmless. Don't try to keep it though, as they don't eat very well in captivity and will most likely die.
