What type of snake would you guess this could be?

So, while my dad was out mowing the lawn,he found what he first though was a copperhead, but we aren't sure.

He said the snake looked like a baby (10 Inches), it was mainly coppered color, and it had a golden band around it's neck. We found it in our frontyard. We have a small stream in our backyard, and we also back up to a park with lots of trees, grasslands, deer, and somewhere back there, a lake. We live in Kansas Missouri Border.

Does anyone have any idea what type of snake this could be? A picture and name could be handy.

Thanks for the help!
