    I read your question to quickly. I kept the stuff I first wrote (see below) for others, if anyone reads this question.

    I believe you are asking about is "push terminals", it's the kind where you have to push on either the red or black "button" so the bare speaker wire can be inserted into the hole near the button.

    The "plug" kind is called a binding post. It allows for both bare speaker wire and banana plugs, as there called, to be inserted into the opening at the end of the post. (bare wire is held in place by "s******g" the post down onto wire inserted through the hole near the base of the post.

    EDIT:

    if you're asking about the REALLY OLD "clip" it's called a Fahnestock clip.
