What type of spider is this? (With picture)?

I was sitting on the floor when this huge spider came running across the room by my feet.

Unfotunately, the picture isn't mine, but the spider is similar.

I live in England so I don't think it can hurt. What is the name of this spider?

Thanks.

  1. It is called a Tegenaria duellica (house spider) found in bushes, sheds, garages and most rarely used places like these.

They are more common around autumn as its their mating season. they pose 100% no threat to humans. but will help u get rid of Flys, mites, and other insects of that size

  2. It's just a house spider. They can get that big.

It's OK though, it can't hurt you. Plus, it eats those annoying flies that get in your house. I'm completely fine with spiders in my place. Flies annoy me too much.

Don't be so afraid.  99.9% of spiders are harmless to humans.  They are very beneficial animals and help keep our world healthy and strong by controlling the insect populations.  They feed on Flies, Gnats, Termites, Cockroaches, Crickets, etc, etc.  Would you rather have this little spider in your home or 100 Cockroaches?  Think about that.
