  1. Do you mean steel?  As in a low carbon - iron alloy.

    Steal = take without permission.

    The average car no longer has a frame, and hasn't had a frame for more than twenty years.  Back then - before fuel economy and safety issues - weight and strength were not of great concern.  The frames were made from low carbon cold or hot rolled steel shapes, formed as required.  C1020 would be typical.

    Nowadays, the vehicles that still have separate frames (like pick-up trucks - but not the Ridgeline) have frames made of high strength low carbon steel alloys.  These provide the best forming, and controlled deformation in accidents without breaking.


  2. They don't make frames anymore unless a truck.Unitized body can be plastic,with aluminum braces.

    Its sad,they don't last like 80s models.
