What type of stem cells are most widely used in science today?

  1. See, I disagree with the above answer.  While embryonic stem cells are probably the most in research in the lab, I would say that bone marrow and cord blood are the most used on actual humans.


  2. Embryonic stem cells. In some places it is illegal to harvest  embryonic stem cells, but we have various strains of  embryonic stem cells growing in labs that were harvested before everyone got all upset... We can still use those.

    Also, scienctists don't do most of their research on humans. Mice are popular; when studying mice, one would use  embryonic stem cells from mice, and no one has a problem with that.
