I use the aeropro drive cortex racquet and currently have luxilon big banger ALU power 16L strings. at 58 tension. my wrist kinda hurts now. after a week of use.

I don't mind the pain but i should i use the Luxilon Big Banger ALU Power Rough 16L String instead?

I'm also considering the Babolat pro hurricane strings too.

  1. i have a n code the orange one with a amazing handle i have actually tried all three of these strings and i love the babolat pro hurricane strings they work great btw i really need 10 points but anyway yes get the pro hurricane u wont regret it!!!

  2. Any poly string (Luxilon or Babolat Pro Hurricane) will be tougher on the joints than a gut or synthetic "soft string". Your advantages with poly are increased durability and the ability to swing away with more spin potential.

I use BB Timo (17G) and have found it to be the best fit for me based on the recommendation of a master stringer. I still break strings on my rackets every 3-4 weeks, but that is due to the gauge and I would break strings far more frequently with gut/syn gut.

Ultimately, strings come down to personal preference and what you are looking for in a string. My recommendation is to consult a stringing pro. If you would like, I can recommend my guy but chances are there is someone in your community who is a master stringer and can recommend options for you.

Remember this analogy, the racket is like a car chasis. A sports car is a sports car and an SUV is anSUV. The strings are the engine and the engine plays a significant role in determining the performance of either a Sports Car or an SUV. Strings are the easiest way to fine tune your game. With the Aeropro Drive Cortex, you have a players racket with control and a reasonable level of power. String type and tension can greatly impact the desired performance of the frame.

  4. Use pro hurricane, they are good but it will hurt your elbow. I suggest combining them with a soft syn gut string like Gosen Og sheep Mirco. That combination gives you amazing feel, while pro hurricane by itself give a dead plastic feeling. The pros are good power and spin and durability
