What type of strings to get for my electric guitar?

I have an American Strat and play a bit of rock and indie, both lead and rythm. Can anyone help!

Dean Markley have always been my preferred brand.  Light or regular (9's or 10's) will sound great on a Strat.

There are ALOT of brands out there. String guage is important. 9ns are way to light for me (brighter tone) 10ns are more standard. 11ns will give you a deeper tone.They are thick, and not as great for soloing But good for metal rythm.

Always 10-46's.

They are the most standard on a Strat and probably the easiest to play without your fingers getting cut.
