i am starting to eat healthy and i ned some good things that i can make for lunch and diner that are healthy and taste good what can i make?

  1. I like to make stir fry, go really heavy on the vegetables and light on the meat.  Make sure you aren't using too much oil, either.  I generally just use cooking spray instead of oil.  Don't forget the soy sauce!

    Lentil soup is pretty healthy, and I was surprised at just how good it tastes.  There's recipes all over the internet.  Pick one without a lot of salt pork in it.

    Chili - make sure to add lots of beans and little to no cheese.

    Chickpeas, sauted with a little cayenne pepper and used to top a salad are excellent.  I like it best when the salad is cold but the chickpeas are still warm.  (You can pack them separate for work, and microwave the chickpeas just before adding them to the salad to eat).

    And if you bake, it's a good idea to start substituting applesauce or pumpkin puree for oil in your baked goods, such as muffins.  Cuts down on the fat & calories considerably, the end result is still moist, and the sauce/puree adds more vitamins than oil would have.
