  1. yes that is why the bride and groom registers for gifts - so that the guests will buy something that they actually want and need.

  2. you look up her registry at places like target or linens n' things places that sell household stuff

She'll probably get really p!ssed if you don't because it's a deatiled list that she took tons of time to make up and she expects you her friends to get her something she wants

  3. Some jewelry, maybe a nice fragrance/perfume.

  4. whatever is on the registry

  5. Buying something from their registry is the best idea.

  6. You buy what you can afford ,if it is on the list fine if not fine.Do not live your life trying to live by anyone else's traditions.

  7. Yes, along with any formal invitation to a bridal shower you should receive the URL for the registry holding all of your friend's selected gifts.  On most web sites of this kind you can easily view all of the couple's listed selections and what has alrady been bought and thus checked off.  You can - probably should - just buy exactly what they listed (can be purchased online).

  8. if they are registered then yes...try to buy something off there because those are things they have requested

  9. If the person has a registry, it is the best place to get things. If you dont want to do that, buy something that everyone could use, and could never have enough of.  This is especially easy when the newlyweds are buying a new home. Think about the things that you use or need often.  Looking at the gift registry will also help you to see what the individual's style/color prefs. are.

  10. if they have a registry you can.

i usually just give a cash gift, its so much easier.  or if you are cash strapped, like the rest of the world, try marshalls. they have beautiful household goods.

  11. If the bride is registered the easiest thing is to buy her something off her registry.  It is the best way to guarantee you will get her something she wants and needs.

  12. Some showers have a theme- kitchen, bedroom, lingerie etc.

Check to see where the bride is registered, and that way you'll most likely get something she needs and would like.

  13. the registry is good guideline, but if you know the person well and want to get them something personal that's ok too

  14. i  have done this for several weddings and its relatively inexpensive..when holiday decor goes on sale after the holidays i buy things.  I buy a decoration for each holiday...christmas, easter, something red white and blue for (memorial day, 4th and labor day ) halloween and thanksgiving.......these are their first decorations for their home. When the holidays come around they have something to start with

  15. yes

  16. Yep, they pick out the nice things they want.  It really was cool getting all the house stuff when we just started out

  17. Well, it is your money and you can spend it how you want.  If you want to get them something off their registry, go for it!  This way you will know that they are going to like your gift.  If you want to get them something else, that is OK too.  Often times I get the bride a cookbook because I love cookbooks and think that noone can have too many.

  18. What you get are things that the bride wants. Also have ideas to make the bridal shower more fun. Like get stuff to play games. :D
