  1. It covers a vast number of things....

    Nervous system

    Impulse conduction

    to learning and memory.

    Very intresting indeed.

  2. Psychology is all about the study of the mind, behaviour, the way we see things etc. There are so many different areas in psychology to learn about. You will have social psychology (to do with attachment, attraction, etc. There is cognitive psychology, the way we think etc. Memory, about our long term and short term memory stores etc. There is also physiological psychology, the make up of the brain and how each part works. There is individual differences, about depression, therapies etc. and many more, it is very interesting. The only bit i did not enjoy so much was the methodology part, the analysing of data and graphs to measure tests, but it is all rather good anyway...

  3. how to deal with suicidal people

  4. You learn 5 different subject's.

    Research and Methodology

    Abnormality (Specifically Eating Disorder's)

    Conformity and Obedience

    Developmental Psychology

Well, that's what I learn in AS Psychology but I think it may be changing. You will probably enjoy Psychology, I certainly did.

    Stress

  5. Well i done it for a year and didn't really like it.

I also thought it would be really interesting, and it was- mostly.

But it still wasn't what i expected.

I learned about behaviour, attraction, cognition, experiments, depression, anxiety disorders ect ect.

It's cool to find out about it all but there is too much of the 'boring' stuff  which outweighs the fun you have, Such as the constant reffering to previous studies and having to read an immense amount of books.

If you really are intruged by the subject then go for it.

  6. General psych would mostly be an overview of all the fields in psychology.

You'd probably go over Freud and Erikson (personality), Skinner, Pavlov, and Thorndike (learning), a little bit of neuropsych stuff, and most likely some abnormal stuff (learning about disorders).

I think it's an interesting class.

  7. im taking psychology and sociology in school too....im going to be a junior in high school. my sister took it last year, i guess they talk about human races and people in general...like the study of groups and the study of one person. it should be fun
