Someone gave it to me about a month ago because they could no longer care for it. They couldn't tell me much about it other than it liked frozen vegetables.

  1. sorry couldnt find it, but for you to care for a tortoise you need a large OUTDOOR pen or at least a 50 gallon tank. You also need a basking light AND a uvb light ( 2 seperate lights) if you plan on keeping the tortie inside. Otherwise if you live ina sunny location, and have a nice garden, or backyard, biuld a pen. Outside they will have access to 12 hour sunlight, which is good for them, otherwise they need $100 lights if kept inside. They eat crickets, eartworms, snails, mustard greens, collards, romaine lettuce( never iceberg), tomatos, turnip greens, cucumbers, etc. All of these NEED to be fresh, never frozen, since frozen lacks nutrition. Also they need to be in temps. of 65-80F so no colder, or else they will go into hibermnation, and during winter they need to be brought indoors because it is too freezing cold.
