  1. i would say hap ki do

  2. There are a few big backgrounds for both the striking and grappling sides of MMA(mixed martial arts)

For grappling:  jui-jitsu, wrestling(greco roman included)

    For striking:  thai kickboxing, boxing.

Certainly a big factor besides natural talent is cardiovascular training as it helps you keep your skills longer

  3. MMA is largely built around Brazilian Ju-Jitsu.  Wrestling and boxing skills are also big.  Muay Thai is another popular style of fighting.

This is usually taught at MMA gyms like the Miltech gym systems (Matt Hughes, Jens Pulver, etc) and Xtreme Couture (randy Couture, etc).

  4. It's made of mostly 3 kinds of fighting:  kickboxing, wrestling and jiu-jitsu.  Each fighter uses them and most favor one of the techniques, which is their expertise.  Kickboxing is used for stand-up fighting.  Wrestling used for take-downs or take-down defenses.  Jiu-jitsu is for submissions.  The key to being a highly successful UFC fighter is to be well-rounded in all.  Two good examples are Georges St. Pierre and Anderson Silva.
