    You can reach your potential through training, conditioning, but it won't be superhuman, unless you are superhuman.

  6. Generally, you want to do exercises that stress your fast twitch muscles. The latest sports trainers use a variety of resistence band exercises with sprinting. Dragging works...but so does being dragged. Do both.

    Also, hill sprints and stair sprints will make you faster and more powerful. Add a few lateral and reverse sprints for good measure.

    And I'm not just talking about running faster...these will make you faster all around. Sprints build your core and other muscles.

    Reaction exercises are good too.

    For hand speed, wushu chain punches will make you fast (plenty on youtube). In general, martial art strikes are good ways to improve speed. Use both imaginary (air) and bag targets. Create exercises where you have to strike so many times in a time period...when you reach a goal, increase the strike count goal.

    My instructor would have us drop a dollar from chin level and he would perform 10 solid Muay Thai kicks before it hit the ground! Unbelievable! He said to get fast you have to focus on the entire strike: stance, kicking, penetration, and resetting. We all naturally start out focusing on the kicking and penetration (expanding), so at first focus on pulling that strike back into position (contracting) as fast as possible.

    Partners: Use a partner for offensive and defensive drills. Heavyweights spar with lighterweights to make them faster. And nothing will make your parry faster than someone trying to punch you in the nose. And if you know how, do sticking hands (again youtube).

    Of course, you will have to learn how to focus your mind and breathing to maximize your speed...so play with those.

  8. This is easy. Built a devise that can alter it's gravity pull. Increase the force of gravity by ten times and you will be faster than all of us (so long as you can move at that force).

  11. By definition, the only way to achieve superhuman speed is if you are not a human.

  12. Focus on being quick instead of focusing on being fast.  I have had few fights or matches end well that I focused on speed.  However, quickness has never let me down.  Even a big and otherwise slow guy can preempt a fast guy.

  16. when yur hitting the bag, shadow boxing or hitting pads do everything as fast as you can keeping good technique.  also you can do weights with at least 18 repititions if you want so you work out the fast twitch muscle fibres.

  17. Here is something I learned from a ninja farmer in Japan - plant a kernel of corn and jump over it every day 100 times.  By the end of summer it will be over 8 feet tall and you will be able to perform superhuman jumps.  Also, fresh corn is both healthy and delicious!

    Since it is too late for you to have been raised by wolves or apes (I was, and it has been a great advantage) I do not think you will reach superhuman speed and reflexes.

    I would try to get to "excellent human" speed by training in a good gym or martial arts school with a good instructor.  It's more realistic - if you aim to be more than human, you'll inevitably fail.  So aim to be the absolute best human you can.
